Unleash Your Inner Artist

Create your own masterpiece at Claytime

A couple of years ago, a friend of mine mentioned that she belonged to a group of women who met regularly without their children to recharge their parental batteries.

“You might think it sounds silly,” she told me, “but we always do some kind of a craft, no matter how small. Everything that moms do gets undone–we do laundry and it gets dirty, we cook and the food gets eaten, we clean the house and it gets dirty again. But every time I leave this meeting, I leave with something I’ve made that’s my very own.”

I thought about my friend’s words, and they really resonated. As a stay-at-home mom, I don’t have a lot of tangible output at the end of the day. Sometimes it’s nice to show that I can actually create something that lasts.

Most of us are familiar with Paint Your Own Pottery & Bead Studio as a fun place for our kids to craft their own creations, but Claytime isn’t just for kids.

Claytime also offers the opportunity for adults to decorate a piece of pottery or create jewelry of our very own, including mosaics and fused glass creations. During the evening, adults can bring in adult beverages to enjoy while they craft, and on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., the studio offers 50% off the studio fee. Groups of 10 or more can reserve a party room.
