Music and well-being are a natural fit for South County Physical Therapy

AUBURN _ Maintaining its commitment of being a valued community partner is one of the core beliefs of South County Physical Therapy, Inc. (SCPT). SCPT is dedicated to charitable givebacks that are in line with the organization’s mission of helping to promote health and wellness in the communities it services.  It donates to health-related non-profits and local civic-minded organizations.

One such organization that SCPT is partnering with is the Pakachoag Music School of Greater Worcester, an independent, not-for-profit community school of the arts that is all about music-making for people of all ages, from birth into retirement.

“Pakachoag Music School is delighted to have the support of South County Physical Therapy as an event sponsor. As a sponsor, South County is demonstrating its value for the arts in building healthy communities,” said Pakachoag Music School Executive Director Sarah Smongeski. “It’s a great match for us. We’re two organizations working to support health and well-being - from two different vantage points - while providing top- notch customer support.”

A member of the 2013-2014 Pakachoag Music School Advisory Board, South County’s CEO and Founder Cathy Hoover-Smith is pleased to have her organization support the school.

“Intrinsically, Pakachoag Music School is a perfect partner for us,” said Hoover-Smith. “Music moves and enriches the quality of everyone’s lives, which promotes overall health and well-being, and at South County Physical Therapy, we are all about improving health and well-being!”

In addition to Hoover-Smith, South County’s CFO Melodie Hanks is a member of Pakachoag Music School’s Board of Directors.

“As a not for profit, Pakachoag relies upon the generous support of others, like South County Physical Therapy. And, South County’s sponsorship assures that more children (and adults) have access to high quality arts instruction - no matter their means or background,” Smongeski said.
