Facebook Fans Dislike Library Opposers Gathering

Readers also share what they would like to see at the old drive-in.

This week, Shrewsbury Patch has more than 500 Twitter followers and our Facebook page has almost 300 fans—help us get there and like our page.

If you aren't one of our fans yet, we invite you to join them—and if you have a Shrewsbury-related page you're trying to build up, we'll like you, too.

Among our many likes is the Shrewsbury Health & Racquet Club Facebook page. The page has information about programs and events, such as offering free tennis clinics to kids 10 and under as part of a Tennis Open House for PeeWees on Nov. 17. To sign up, call 508-845-1000 or email tennis@shrewsburyclub.com.

We also like the Rotary Club of Shrewsbury Facebook page, where one can find the club bulletin as well as photos and information about various happenings with this service organization.

And, here's a sample of some of the happenings on our Facebook page this week:

A couple of our readers commented on the article . Shrewsbury for Responsible Taxation had gathered at the town common to thank residents for voting down the library building project.

Jeff Michaelson called the gathering "classless" and Lori Hodgins Brazell commented: "This is still so upsetting!"

Lori Hodgins Brazell also commented on a link to the asking readers what they would put in the old drive-in on Route 20, suggesting "Community Gardens or a Community Orchard."

Sarah Cole Camerer would like to see another drive-in at the location, stating it would be "great for families with small children! i miss it!"

Stop by and share your thoughts with us and other readers.
