Facebook Fans Discuss the Holidays

Are you cooking for Thanksgiving? Is it too early for Christmas music?

This week, Shrewsbury Patch has more than 540 Twitter followers and our Facebook page has almost 300 fans—help us get there and like our page, if you haven't already.

If you have a Shrewsbury-related page you're trying to build up, we'll like you, too.

Among our many likes is the ELSA'S EATERY Facebook page. This Route 9 restaurant is offering catering for the holidays. It also recently announced, on its Facebook page, a new "Fan of The Week" promotion where a fan who has been active on the page will be rewarded with a $25 gift card to the restaurant.

We also like the Shrewsbury Media Connection Facebook page, which recently announced Shrewsbury Historical Society Presents, a series produced by Paul Gustafson on SPAC TV 28, shown at noon on Mondays and at 8 p.m. on Fridays.

And, here's a sample of some of the happenings on our Facebook page this week:

Regina Borysenko responded to a question asking whether people will be ordering takeout for Thanksgiving this year or cooking it, despite higher prices. She said: "If we stay home then I'll cook or my husband will. I'd love to save money and energy but I won't sacrifice taste. Not to mention I'm now vegetarian so I need additional things for myself."

Stop by our Facebook page and share your plans—and don't forget to vote in the related .

A couple of our Facebook fans also responded to the question, "Is it too early for Christmas music?"

Andrea Lettic commented: "It is never too early for Christmas!"

Beth NeJaime Casavant wrote: "Just finished Christmas shopping for my kids. Guess it is not too early," later adding, though, "I think the best part was that I did not hear a single Christmas tune the entire time I was at Toys R Us. It was rather pleasant!!! Now let's see how long it takes me to wrap it all!!!"
