This week, Shrewsbury Patch has more than 550 Twitter followers and our Facebook page has almost 300 fans—help us get there and like our page, if you haven't already.

If you have a Shrewsbury-related page you're trying to build up, we'll like you, too.

Among our many likes is the Shrewsbury Garden Club Facebook page. If gardening is among your hobbies, you should like it too. While this page is fairly new, current club members and anyone interested in gardening will soon be able to find gardening tips, ideas, and upcoming events. The page also invites you to post gardening questions.

We also like the You Go Girl Facebook page. This program, which was founded by , seeks to encourage girls through "identifying positive female role models, exploring issues related to self-esteem, self-confidence and body image, giving back to the community," and "discussing issues that girls deal with in school, at home, or within their community." The Facebook page posts event information, news and updates.

And, here's a sample of some of the happenings on our Facebook page this week:

Tara Rees Rogers posted this information about a fundraiser to support Shrewsbury Youth Hockey: "We are selling Calendar Raffles for $10 each. Each calendar has 31 chances to win between $50-$500. A new winner is chosen every day in January. These make GREAT gifts and stocking stuffers and you'd be helping a fantastic local organization. Message me if you'd like one. You can mail checks made out to SYHA and I will mail the calendars to you ASAP. I have two boys in the league and they are doing their best to help out at the only fundraiser of the year. THANK YOU!! And Happy Holidays!!"

Four people liked the article , showing their support for the fifth grade team.

Speaking of football, you can find an on our page. We also invite you to add your Shrewsbury football photos to the Patch site by emailing them to Jennifer.Lucarelli@patch.com.
