After serving on the Fiscal Study Group last year it became all to real what a shape our town was in. The town has been run so well for so long with most people not seeing the down turn and struggle we were going thru.  We are now at a point where it can not be done any more without a larger revenue source.  It is very easy for some to blame our problems all on the schools, but our schools only reflect how bad things are all around.  If you want to keep Shrewsbury the lovely town that it is we ALL need to step up!  Not just for the school but for our way of life.  Remember, our children are our future, a senior should not have more to choose from in classes, electives, etc. than a freshman, or 8th grader coming up.  Someone paid for your  schooling and your children's  whether they had children or not.  No one want to pay more but when it comes to the point where we have fallen over the cliff, someone had better throw us a line.
