Why an Environmental Tax Reform Is Vital for Generations to Come

Carbon dioxide and other harmful greenhouse gases (GHGs) poison the atmosphere and push climate change. This, you may know by now. What may be new is that Massachusetts currently emits 64 million metric tons of carbon dioxide annually. Every day, these gases are gathering fast, which means a warmer planet and concern for your children, grandchildren, and you and me.

So if Massachusetts is releasing all of these toxins, who is paying for it? Right now, the environment. Currently, polluters are not currently paying the price for fossil fuels.  While they have not paid for these negative externalities in the past, they are not excused for continuing this injustice at the cost of future generations.

What can we do? Join the environmental tax reform to make the polluters pay, and protect your children and generations to come.
