SANTA CLAUS SPREADING HOLIDAY CHEER - SUMNER HOUSE STYLE

Shrewsbury, Massachusetts – Heald &

Chiampa’s annual “Santa at The Sumner House” event will take place on Saturday,

December 7th from 12:30 – 3:00 PM.

For three years now, Heald &

Chiampa Funeral Home has helped kickoff the holiday season by welcoming a visit
from Santa Claus to The Sumner House.  Hundreds of area families have
enjoyed this special holiday gathering and festive atmosphere on the grounds of the historic Sumner House adjacent to the town common in Shrewsbury center.

Bringing special holiday cheer to area children, Heald & Chiampa has arranged for Santa Claus to pose for photos with all those who attend.  Santa’s helpers say he is due to arrive around 1 p.m. on his big fancy red sleigh with lots of lights and sirens! Santa promises to meet all the good boys and girls and hear their Christmas wishes. Santa’s elves will be handing out coloring books to kids and serving hot chocolate, munchkins and much more to all the guests.

Recently when in attendance at the
World War I Memorial Dedication at The Beal School Jim Heald ran into residents
Jenny & Seamus Shanley. When they asked their kids, Rory (5) and Maeve (3)
where Mr. Heald lives they immediately smiled and proclaimed ‘where
Santa comes to visit.’ It brought smiles to Jim, Jenny & Seamus’ faces.
Jenny Shanley added, ‘The Sumner House is has become a home and landmark in
town where people of all ages gather at various times to celebrate life.
Obviously, when Santa comes in all his glory it’s a magical time of the year at
the house. But we’ve also come to know it’s where families gather to celebrate
the lives of their loved ones. It’s a really special home.”

Heald & Chiampa Funeral Directors
is uniquely positioned as a Life Celebration Home. Partners Jim Heald, John Heald and David Chiampa, open the Sumner House to the residents of Shrewsbury and beyond many times throughout the year for community functions and tours. It has become a place where people gather in life’s challenging times of loss and sadness, but also serves as a hub of joy, excitement and exploration for community oriented events.
