Movie Night- La Guagua: Door To Door

La Guagua: Door To Door is a bilingual comedy from first-time writer and director Victorious Ramos. It is the story of a fourth generation Latina student at Brown University that does not speak Spanish. She finds herself unable to secure transportation back home to New York City on a busy travel weekend and stumbles onto a van service in South Providence. Once on board, she discovers a motley crew of seedy characters who do not speak English and seem determined to deliver more than her luggage to NY. This film was produced in Rhode Island on a $500 budget in just 4 days. It sold out at the Providence Latin American Film Festival and at the Columbus Theater, and at the historic Trail Theater in Miami. Vic Ramos has appeared on WBZ-CBS (Boston), Telemundo (New York) and the Rhode Show (Providence). He will be attending the screening and participating in a Q&A after the presentation.

Come support this local project and help raise money for the Southbridge Bands Parent Association in the process. Tickets are available at www.LaGuaguaD2D.com, or at the door on Thursday, May 1st. Please call 401-216-9567 for additional information.
