Winter Weather Advisory for Shrewsbury, Worcester County

By Monday, the skies should be clear.

A winter weather advisory, wind advisory and hazardous weather outlook was put into effect until 1 p.m. Sunday for Shrewsbury and other parts of Worcester County.

The National Weather Service predicted that snow will  be likely before 2 p.m. on Sunday, with a daytime accumulation of 1-3 inches. It will be "blustery" with gusts as high as 47 mph. Monday's forecast calls for a sunny day with highs near 29.

A winter weather advisory is issued when snow and ice are expected to accumulate. The National Weather Service noted that these conditions could complicate driving, but would not make it impossible.
