India Society Celebrating 50 Years
The India Society has partnered with Shrewsbury Media Connection.
The Shrewsbury-based Indian Society of Worcester is marking its 50th anniverary by partnering with Shrewsbury Media Connection to produce a documentary tentatively called "Fifty Glorious Years of ISW," according to the Boston Globe.
The India Society "tries to foster Indian culture through language classes, seminars and senior and youth groups," said the Globe. "It also reaches out to the larger community through free programs such as a crisis hotline and a weekly medical clinic."
