Next Monday: Free Trivia Competition for Friends & Family

Dunkin' Donuts of Shrewsbury and the Friends of the Shrewsbury Public Library sponsor the return of a popular event.

Four to five times a year, the Shrewsbury Public Library young adult department hosts trivia competitions for friends and families.  These low-stress/high-fun events promote education in a creative and interactive way while showcasing some of the technology available for check-out at the Shrewsbury Public Library.  The past two competitions have featured geography as a base for the questioning, but due to a couple of enthusiatic requests, the next competition will be all about pop culture!  Books, movies, music, plays, and more will be featured in a fun challenge where teams work together in a pub-style trivia format for a chance to win a great prize sponsored generously by Dunkin' Donuts of Shrewsbury.  The Friends of the Shrewsbury Public Library are also providing a free pizza supper at the event!

When is it:  Next Monday, March 4th, 6:30PM

Where:  In the Meeting Room at the Shrewsbury Public Library, 609 Main St., Shrewsbury

How to participate:  Get a team of as few as two, as many as six, together.  At least one person on each team has to be in at least the fifth grade.  These teams can be a family, a group of friends - just about anything works.  While all are welcome, the questions are geared towards middle schoolers, high-schoolers, and adults.  Registration is required, and due to spacing limitations, there is enough room for only ten teams (at press time, there were five team slots open).
