Paid Research - UMASS Memorial

Entrust Research & Recruiting, LLC and Farm PD are recruiting OR Nurses, Scrub technicians & Surgeons that use Fibrin Sealants during surgeries to participate in a paid validation study for the FDA on behalf of a J & J company.
 
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the ease of use and safety of a fibrin sealant which is used to achieve hemostasis (stop bleeding) in open and laparoscopic surgeries. This research study will not involve human patients. This is a simulated use study, which will be conducted using a medical training model in a simulated operating room. 
 
Scheduled participants will take part in a 30 minute training session, then after a minimum of a 60 minute wait period, will participate in a 90-minute usability test session. Waiting time is compensated and you are allowed to leave during the waiting period. 
The session will take place at the UMASS Medical School’s Inter-professional Center for Experiential Learning and Simulation (iCELs) in Worcester the week of July 28th. 
 
Surgeons who qualify for the study and participate will receive up to $2,760. The hourly compensation rate is $470 - $690 (based on specialty, experience and title).  A CV or resume must be provided. 
 
Nurses or Techs who qualify for the study and participate will receive up to $668. The hourly compensation rate is $167 per hour. Proof of certification must be provided.
