Dean Park Pizza Remains Closed After Two Months

The pizza place has been closed since March, although signs in the windows indicate that it should have reopened shortly thereafter.

It has been more than two months since Dean Park Pizza was closed for renovations, and according to the sign in the window it should have reopened shortly thereafter.

"Dean Park Pizza will be closed for remodeling on Monday, March 15 and will reopen after shortly after that under new management. Thank you for your patronage, Louie."

That sign, posted by Louie Karageorgis, has remained in the window ever since.

According to the Shrewsbury planning department, no "new management" has been in touch with them regarding plans to reopen. The phone number listed on their website is also no longer in service.

Do you hope Dean Park Pizza reopens as a pizza joint? Would you rather see a different type of restaurant or business there? Tell us your opinions and share your experiences at the pizzeria in the comments.

I really hope they reopen. I loved their food, and their service was exceptional. They were one of the few places where I would walk in and they would know me by name. It had a great hometown feel, and it almost always seemed busy. I wish they never closed their doors - they were awesome 'as is'! There are so many great businesses in town, but it's still sad to see one close like this.

I agree with Dan. Breakfast (weekends), lunch and dinner, always a place to go for "bang for the buck" good meals and great pizza. I have to comment that I had 'pizza withdrawal' a few days ago and went to Shrewbury Pizzaria... that was a mistake. DiGiorno would have been better... just my opinion.

I see activity over there. They're fixing the roof, so something is going in.
