Five Guys Burgers Eyes White City Location

Five Guys is expected to occupy the old Mattress Giant.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries, a well-known burger chain, has submitted a site plan for the former Mattress Giant building in White City Plaza.

"Five Guys is looking to come to Shrewsbury, but we have not yet signed a lease and cannot release more information than that at this time," said Five Guys Public Relations Director Molly Catalano.

Kristen Wilson of the Shrewsbury Planning Zoning Department acknowledges that Karen Johnson of Charter Realty, Inc has submitted a site plan for the space.

Johnson declined to comment further on the site plan expecting more information to be finalized later this week.

In May, the selectmen approved an alcoholic beverages pouring license and common victualler's license for Jimmy's Ale House, which is looking to move into the former Bugaboo Creek at 50 Boston Tpke., also in White City.
