The snowstorm headed toward New England may make travel treacherous on Thursday, and Central Massachusetts will get hit hardest by the storm.

The National Weather Service is predicting 8-14 inches of snow for Shrewsbury.

Snow should begin Thursday morning and change over to sleet and freezing rain on Thursday afternoon and evening. Winds will be 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph so power outages are possible.
