Shrewsbury's Top Stories: Car Vandalism, Teen Competing for Soccer Championship, Rain Changes Concert Venue

Kids might be on vacation for the summer, but that doesn't mean the news gets a vacation.

It was a gorgeous week in Shrewsbury, a great opportunity for residents to spend some time on the lake, but public officials and most employees had to return to work after a long Fourth of July weekend.
The week started off on the wrong foot, or wheel, for several residents living in apartment buildings around town.
Police responded to multiple incidents of tires being stolen / vandalized around town over the weekend and early in the week.
Hopefully Shrewsbury teen Matt Morana's car wasn't one of them. Travel is in his future as he heads down to Dallas with the New England Revolution U18 soccer team to compete for the championship.
There was one downside to the week, rain Monday night caused the Shrewsbury Concert on the Common to be moved inside. That didn't stop Point 'N Swing from rocking the Shrewsbury Senior Center.
