Shrewsbury's Herbert Candy Mansion Re-Launches Ice Cream Window

Famous for chocolates and endless ice cream sundae bar, the nostalgic candy mansion on route 20 now offers another reason to stop by...an ice cream window open six evenings a week! 

Featuring over a dozen flavors of ice cream and gelato too, passersby with a cool craving have a new destination! Customers can choose from cups and cones, chocolate dipped waffle bowls and customized sundaes. New novelties include frozen chocolate bananas, chocolate chip cookies stuffed with ice cream and ice cream sandwich pops rimmed with rainbow sprinkles.

Create your own sundae or choose from the Hebert line featuring their store made signature chocolates! The “Chunky Monkey” is banana ice cream topped with chopped walnuts, whipped cream and peanut butter fudge. The “Chocolate Cherry Bomb” tops chocolate ice cream with marshmallow, maraschino cherries, whipped cream and a dark chocolate dipped cherry on top.  “Coffee Toffee” is coffee ice cream, toffee bits, whipped cream, caramel drizzle and includes a square of Hebert's Espresso chocolate bar!

The new ice cream window has fountain soda available too! If you prefer to drink your frozen treat, choose from a delicious array or frappes, root beer floats and our very popular Hebert Sherbet Slammer!

The picturesque grounds of the Candy Mansion include a beautiful sprawling lawn and picnic tables for families to enjoy their treats. On Thursday evenings, stroll classic cars at the Cruizzin Dreams car show from 5 p.m until dusk. (Weather permitting.)

Ice cream window hours are Sunday and Thursday 5-8:30, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 6-8:30. The retail store and ice cream window are closed on Mondays.
