About the Program:
Travel back in time to Shrewsbury's lost village of "Prattville". Located only 1/2 mile east of Shrewsbury Center, the bustling village of Prattville was home to many historically significant residents and businesses during the early 1800’s. Come join us on this rare photographic tour of the village, its homes, and businesses including the firehouse, general store, tannery and livery, from its start to the trolley days of the early 1900's.
About the Presenter:
Mr. Larson is currently the President of the Shrewsbury Historical Society. Past presentation to the Society include “Shrewsbury Then and Now,” “Built to Last: Preserving Shrewsbury’s Historic Homes,” “Stagecoach and Tavern Days in Shrewsbury, “The Shrewsbury News” and “Noteworthy Traditions of the Shrewsbury Brass Band.” He has portrayed historic residents on the Annual Cemetery Tour, and made history presentations before local community groups, churches and schools.
