3. Want to support a good cause? Head to The Manor in West Boylston at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24, as Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester is hosting a Beer and Wine Tasting. Several draft beers and wines will be highlighted for you to taste along with appetizers. The cost is $35 per person, of which $25 is tax deductible and will be used to support Habitat's missions. You can reserve your space at www.habitatmwgw.org or pay at the door.

4. If you're like me, you already know a few people who are getting nasty colds! That should serve as a reminder that flu season is approaching. You can bookmark the town's website to check for an updated list of fall flu shot clinics.
