Twitter, Facebook and Patch were abuzz yesterday with photos of Oprah, who was at Bed Bath & Beyond and Target in Framingham, back-to-school shopping. (She was reportedly helping the first graduates of her school in Africa get ready for college.)
There have been a handful of opportunities to see or meet celebrities in MetroWest in recent years. Aside from Oprah's surprise visit, celeb stops in the area include Nomar Garciaparra, actor Tobey Maguire filming in various locations across the region, Vince Wilfork and other New England Patriots, and singer Adam Lambert, to name a few.

A lot of celebrities have come through the Sheraton Framingham for autograph shows. Off the top of my head, Roger Clemens, Lou Brock, Joe DiMaggio, Adam West, Patrick Stewart, numerous actors who have been in sci fi... the list goes on!

I jogged past Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter one morning in Atlanta. I didn't realize it was them until I was on top of them. I just thought it was an old couple, out for an early walk. And he said hello, and I said hello, and kept running... :)
