UPDATED: Break-in Suspect Arrested after Manhunt [VIDEO]

The Shrewsbury police arrested a break-in suspect after a manhunt in town earlier today.

After a two-hour manhunt near Minuteman Way, the Shrewsbury police arrested a Shrewsbury man.

At 9:30 a.m., the Shrewsbury police responded to Minuteman Way where a homeowner reported he interrupted a man breaking into his home.

"The homeowner saw the suspect and followed for a while and then called the police," Shrewsbury Police Sgt. Pratt said.

The police called state police air wing (helicopter) and the state police K-9 unit to assist in the search.

At 2:23 p.m., Michael Abraham Yazhari, 22, of 6 Swan Cir., Shrewsbury, was arrested and charged with destruction of property over $250 and breaking and entering daytime for a felony.

Sgt. Pratt said the suspect will be arraigned in Westborough District Court on Tuesday. Bail has been set for $540,000 and as of 5 p.m., bail had not been set. He did not comment further as it is an ongoing investigation.
