Snow to Continue into Evening
The first storm of the winter is packing a wallop in Shrewsbury.
The roads have been plowed in town, but some side streets are slippery as of this afternoon.
As the winter storm continues to pummel Shrewsbury, make sure to take it slow on the roads.
Snow is expected to taper off by midnight tonight, but temperatures will only reach about 27 degrees. Another storm is also moving through the area on Friday, which will bring rain and snow late in the evening, according to Weather.com.
With school cancelled around town, residents dug themselves out and many kids enjoyed sledding and snowboarding at their favorite hills in town.
While many people have enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather this winter, Ski Ward said it's been a tough year for them.
"The 'snow in your backyard' mentality (or lack thereof) really comes into affect in years like this," said Jen Andersen, director of sales and marketing for Ski Ward. "Hopefully this storm will spark some final interest to carry us through the end of the season."
We'd love to see your photos from the storm. Upload them here and they will be included in our gallery.
