Rhode Island Man Arrested After Fleeing Police
The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.
Saturday, March 9
8:32 a.m.: A caller from Robertson Drive reported that a neighbor’s plow driver had pushed the snow into his driveway.
2:50 p.m.: An officer responded to a domestic assault on South Quinsigamond. Gloria Gray, 35 of 107 South Quinsigamond Ave. was arrested and charged with assault and battery, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.
7:48 p.m.: An officer from the Shrewsbury Police Department took a report of threatening phone calls at the Worcester City Motel.
Sunday, March 10
3:26 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on North Street after a short chase. James Miranda, 27, of 44 Pumgansett St., Providence RI was arrested and charged with failure to stop, negligent operation, use of a motor vehicle without authority, lights violation, speeding, failure to drive in the proper lane and refusing to identify while operating a motor vehicle. A female in the vehicle was taken to the station to wait for a ride.
3:35 p.m.: A caller from Latura Street reported a dispute between neighbors regarding kids playing in the area. An officer responded and advised the caller that the kids were not on his property.
