The Worcester City Motel at 235 Boston Tpke. was "an active crime scene" this morning as police investigated a stabbing, according to scanner reports.

One person was reportedly stabbed; EMS and police responded.

The call came through around 8:25 a.m.

Police would not comment and referred questions to the department's media relations officer, who is not working today.

The Fire Department referred questions to police, but did confirm going to the motel Sunday morning as a first responder.
