Police Log: Two Charged With Receiving Stolen Property
The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.
Saturday, Jan. 26
12:35 p.m.: A resident of Meadowsweet Road went in to the Shrewsbury Police Department to report a larceny.
2:03 p.m.: A resident reported property damage from a hit and run crash on Prospect Street. An officer responded and reported that the vehicle would have damage to the right front corner.
2:58 p.m.: An officer responded to a three-car crash on Boston Turnpike with the Shrewsbury Fire Department and medics. At least one vehicle was towed and at least one person was injured.
8:21 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of suspicious people on Hartford Turnpike.
10:46 p.m.: A caller from Old Mill Road reported a break-in. Officers responded with the Massachusetts State Police and K9 units. Police searched for a suspect for several hours but no arrests were made.
Sunday, Jan. 27
11:33 a.m.: A vehicle on Old Cart Road hit a mailbox.
3:34 p.m.: A caller reported a larceny at Flynn’s Truck Stop.
5:03 p.m.: A vehicle was towed from Shrewsbury Green Drive for trespassing.
6:18 p.m.: A caller reported two suspicious people at White City Shopping Center. Kimberly Marchione, 30, of 1010 Massachusetts Ave., Boston and Maria Woods, 37, of 129 Union St., Framingham, were arrested. Marchione was charged with receiving stolen property and two warrant charges of possession of marijuana and criminal trespassing. Woods was charged with receiving stolen property, possession of a class A substance, providing a false identification during an arrest. Woods also faced warrant charges including witness intimidation, conspiracy to violate drug laws and possession of marijuana.
Monday, Jan. 28
2:25 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Street and took one male in to protective custody.
