Police Log: Two Arrested For Assaulting Police Officers
The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.
Wednesday, Dec. 19
9:00 a.m.: An officer stopped several vehicles on Prospect Street and issued several tickets.
12:49 p.m.: A caller reported the sound of gunshots coming from near the Worcester Line on Maple Avenue. An officer responded and determined that the noise was coming from the Worcester gun range.
12:54 a.m.: A syringe was removed from the roadway on Grace Avenue.
1:39 p.m.: Three cars were involved in a crash at Holden Street and Clinton Street. Two vehicles were towed.
4:00 p.m.: A caller reported three people running down Maple Avenue with a fire extinguisher. Officers were unable to locate the suspects.
4:42 p.m.: Officers arrested Randy Weed, 44, of 41 Angela Ave. on a warrant. For assaulting a police officer, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding
8:03 p.m.: Officers arrested Scott Lenahan, 23, of 81 Main St. on a warrant charge of misdemeanor breaking and entering.
9:11 p.m.: A caller from north Quinsigamond reported that two white males were just looking in his window. Officers responded and detained one suspect. The other suspect lead police on a chase toward Main Street and was arrested in the woods after a K9 followed his trail in to the woods. Roger D. Holm, 22, of 9 Oakview St., Worcester was arrested. Holm is being charged with assaulting a police officer, witness intimidation, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
