Police Log: Suspicious noise in UMass Dumpster
The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.
Thursday, Jan. 31
8:18 a.m.: A resident went to the Shrewsbury Police Department to report fraudulent checks.
8:39 a.m.: Officers responded to several 911 calls reporting wires across Main Street.
9:10 a.m.: A caller from Patriot Lane reported a bobcat that had been in the area since Wednesday. An officer responded and spoke to people at the location.
11:46 a.m.: The Shrewsbury Fire Department responded to a microwave fire on North Quinsigamond.
12:53 p.m.: A caller reported a man going through cars at Dunkin Donuts on Boston Turnpike. Officers spoke to two men who matched the description.
4:00 p.m.: An issued several tickets and warnings to drivers on Boston Turnpike and Main Street.
4:37 p.m.: A caller from Shrewsbury Green Drive reported attempted larceny.
5:31 p.m.: UMass police reported noises in a dumpster on South Street. The noise was caused by an animal in the dumpster.
Friday, Feb. 1
1:20 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Maple Avenue and took one male in to protective custody.
