Police Log: One House Egged Three Times in Two Nights

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

 

Saturday, Jan. 19

2:19 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Boston Turnpike and is seeking a criminal application for the driver. A passenger in the vehicle took drove home.

2:27 a.m.: A vehicle crashed in to a guardrail on Boston Turnpike near Madison Place. No one was found with the vehicle when officers responded. The vehicle was towed.

9:43 a.m.: An officer responded and spoke to two people on South Quinsigamond who were having a despite over a driveway.

5:46 p.m.: A security guard from Building 19 called the police to assist with a shoplifting incident. Anne Nkwocha, 50, of 1 Coolidge Pl., Apt. 606, Clinton was arrested and charged with third offense shoplifting by asportation.

10:30 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of cows in the roadway on Centech Boulevard. The owner retrieved their animals.

10:49 p.m.: A 911 caller from Kenda Road reported an egg had been thrown at their house. Officers checked the area throughout the night.

11:43 p.m.: A 911 caller from Main Street reported flashing lights in the sky.

Sunday, Jan. 20

12:38 a.m.: A caller reported a male skateboard on Boston Turnpike near Harrington Avenue.

11:22 a.m.: An officer removed a tent from the roadway of Boston Turnpike near the bridge.

3:28 p.m.: A caller from Toblin Hill drive reported the bushes at a neighboring house were on fire. The Shrewsbury Fire Department extinguished the fire.

10:14 p.m.: A caller from Kenda Road reported that their house had been egged for the second night in a row. Officers were unable to locate any suspects.

10:50 p.m.: A driver crashed into a utility pole on North Quinsigamond. No injuries were reported.

11:12 p.m.: A caller from Ireta Road reported that their house had just been egged. Suspects once again eluded the police.

11:16 p.m.: The same caller from a previous egging incident on Kenda Road reported that the house had been egged again.

11:47 p.m.: A caller from Williamsburg Court reported that she would like her drunken husband removed from the house. An officer responded and the man voluntarily left.

Monday, Jan. 21

1:14 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Route 140 and arrested Nicholas Franchi, 17, of 41 West View Ave. Franchi was charged with drunken-driving, speeding and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
