Police Log: Missing Vehicle Found, Injured Raccoon
The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.
Saturday, Oct. 6
12:37 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of a loud party on Rolfe Avenue. The officers spoke to a few people sitting on the porch and advised them to quiet down.
1:22 a.m.: A male caller requested assistance from the Shrewsbury Police Department after a verbal dispute with his wife.
2:50 a.m.: An officer spoke with two males on Boston Turnpike who were possibly vandalizing a sign.
4:29 a.m.: An officer responded to an erratic pickup truck on Hartford Turnpike. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
1:17 p.m.: An officer assisted the Shrewsbury Fire Department with a tree fire on Old Faith Road.
2:26 p.m.: A caller reported two males removing items from a charity bin on Boston Turnpike and putting them in their car. The males were gone when officers responded.
2:50 p.m.: An officer responded to a two-car crash on Main Street. No injuries were reported.
7:25 p.m.: A caller reported a disturbance on Avalon Way. The officer responded and reported that the noise was coming from an apartment where small children were watching tv.
7:41 p.m.: A vehicle was towed from Commons Drive for trespassing.
8:49 p.m.: An officer responded to a crash on South Quinsigamond. Minor injuries were reported but the patient refused transport.
9:28 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a domestic in progress. The male involved left for the night.
10:00 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of a stolen roof rack from a vehicle on Boston Turnpike.
10:31 p.m.: An officer checked a suspicious vehicle in a vacant lot on Main Street. The person in the vehicle was sent on their way.
11:13 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of a smashed sliding door on Commons Drive. The male who was reported to have caused the damage was gone upon the officer's arrival.
Sunday, Oct. 7
12:18 a.m.: An officer responded to a noise complaint on Eastwood Road.
12:29 a.m.: A caller said that a male had vandalized her vehicle after a verbal dispute on Park Street.
2:08 a.m.: An officer responded to Hartford Turnpike where a male said that his motor vehicle had been stolen. The vehicle was found in the next parking lot over at JJ's Sports Bar.
10:54 a.m.: A caller from Tennis Drive reported a restraining order violation. Zain Osama, 23, of 33 Dinsmore Ave., Framingham was arrested and charged with violation of an abuse prevention order.
11:23 a.m.: Multiple callers reported a raccoon struck by a vehicle on Main Street that was still alive.
12:58 p.m.: An officer kept the peace while a person retrieved personal belongings from a location on Elm Street.
5:26 p.m.: An officer responded to a verbal argument on Boston Turnpike. The female involved left for the night.
6:22 p.m.: A resident of Everett Avenue reported a missing trailer license plate.
7:46 p.m.: A caller from Lamplighter Drive reported that a white vehicle drove on to his lawn where his children were playing and the continued down the road. An officer was unable to locate the vehicle in question.
9:07 p.m.: A caller reported males in a large blue sedan yelling profanities at customers of 7-11.
