Police Log: Man Urinates in Public

The following information was supplied by the Shrewsbury Police Department.

Tuesday, May 15:

9:06 a.m.: . The dog was gone when the animal control officer arrived.

9:22 a.m.: A caller reported threats were made by another tenant on Elizabeth Street. .

9:37 a.m.: A caller reported finding needles on the ground at Nelson Point Road and Lake Street. Police responded and removed the item and disposed of it correctly.

10:15 a.m.: A woman turned in expired pepper spray on Old Mill Road. Police destroyed the pepper spray.

11:13 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Hartford Turnpike for an employee with a facial burn. The employee was taken to UMass.

11:32 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Holden Street for a woman having a seizure. She was taken to UMass.

11:33 a.m.: A caller reported a possible break-in on Berkshire Road. Police responded and advised there was no break-in.

12:12 p.m.: A person in the lobby reported threats and harassment. A report was taken.

12:49 p.m.: The animal control officer responded to Prospect Street for a dog off its leash.

1:15 p.m.: A caller reported a man harassing a woman on Main Street.

1:38 p.m.: The animal control officer showed a homeowner how to remove an unwanted cat in the yard on Edgewater Avenue.

2:27 p.m.: Corey R. Collins, 24, of 15 Walnut Hill Ln., Shrewsbury, was arrested on an warrant for breaking and entering and also charged with disorderly conduct on a public conveyance, accosting/annoying a person of the opposite sex and giving a false ID following an arrest.

3:10 p.m.: A caller reported a smoke detector going off on South Street. .

3:59 p.m.: A person in the lobby reported an older man pushing a wheel barrel, looking through people's trash and urinating in public view on Francis Avenue earlier in the morning.

4:14 p.m.: A person in the lobby reported an identity theft on Tory Drive.

5:14 p.m.: William R. Hamilton, 42, of 525 Hartford Tpke., Apt. 16, Shrewsbury, was arrested on a warrant and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, attempting to commit a crime, disorderly conduct, larceny under $250 and malicious destruction of property.

5:57 p.m.: A two-car crash with injuries was reported at North Quinsigamond Avenue and Boston Turnpike. They were taken to UMass.

6:31 p.m.: A caller reported a lost wallet on Boston Turnpike.

7:14 p.m.: A caller reported a possible phone scam by the Babe Ruth Baseball League. The caller said they were asking for donations.

7:55 p.m.: A caller reported a small brush fire on an island next to the Route 9 bridge. The Worcester police were notified.

Wednesday, May 16:

12:29 a.m.: A caller reported a disturbance on Shrewsbury Green Drive.

1:41 a.m.: Shana Erickson, 26, of 6 Osceola Ave., Apt. Right, Worcester, was arrested and charged on a warrant.

6:45 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Julio Drive for a man with difficulty breathing. He was taken to UMass.
