Police Log: Harassing Texts, Car Fire on Route 9

Wednesday, Nov. 28
8:48 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of a tractor-trailer that sideswiped a truck on North Quinsigamond. No injuries were reported.
9:13 a.m.: A caller from Coachman Ridge reported a plow truck that had been parked on the street for three weeks in violation of the winter parking ban. An officer spoke with the owner who said he would move the vehicle at night.
1:28 p.m.: A resident went in to the Shrewsbury Police Department to report a verbal domestic incident that occurred in the car on the way to the station. The woman’s husband left while she was in the station so she had to take a cab home after speaking to an officer.
3:29 p.m.: A caller from 122 North Quinsigamond reported problems with a disgruntled ex-employee. An officer responded and spoke to the caller.
5:02 p.m.: Officers responded to a two-car crash on Boston Turnpike near Commons Drive. One vehicle was towed from the scene and at least one person reported injuries.
5:15 p.m.: A resident went in to the station to speak with an officer regarding harassing text messages.
6:30 p.m.: Officers in Shrewsbury were advised to keep a lookout for a red Chevy Aveo that may have been involved in an armed robbery in Oxford.
Thursday, Nov. 29
6:18 a.m.: An officer responded with medics and the Shrewsbury Fire Department to a car crash and fire near Home Depot. The car had crashed in to a telephone pole.
