Police Investigating Two-Car Crash
A Grafton man was transported to UMASS after a two-car crash on Route 140 on Sunday afternoon.
The State Police are still investigating a two-car accident that occurred on Route 140 in Shrewsbury on Sunday afternoon.
At 2:34 p.m., two cars were traveling northbound on Route 140, one behind the other.
Police Sgt. Alfred Pratt said a red 1985 Camaro, driven by Samantha Sheehan, of 13 Ray St., North Grafton, slowed to make a right turn onto Clews Street when a 2007 Toyota Corolla, driven by Gerald O'Malley, of 33 Brigham Hill Road, Grafton, attempted to pass the Camaro on the right.
"The Corolla thenhit the guard rail on Route 140 and O'Malley was ejected from the vehicle," Sgt. Pratt said. "But the accident is still under investigation."
Shrewsbury Police Officer Shawn Valliere and the state police's reconstruction crew are still investigating the accident.
Police said O'Malley was taken by ambulance to UMASS following the accident, but hospital officials could not confirm O'Malley's condition saying he was not registered as a patient at the hospital on Monday afternoon.
