Pedestrian Killed in Route 290 Crash Identified
A Lowell man was killed while trying to cross the highway.

State Police have identified the victim of last week’s pedestrian crash on Route 290 as Gary Carl, 57, of Lowell.
Carl was struck while trying to cross Route 290 in Worcester on Oct. 17. Police said no criminal charges have been filed in the crash and the investigation is ongoing.
Carl entered the roadway on the westbound side of the highway and was struck by a 51-year-old Worcester woman's vehicle when he attempted to cross the eastbound side.
The driver was not injured.
