Man Arrested with 36 Grams of Crack Cocaine

As part of an on-going investigation, the Shrewsbury Police Department arrested Ruben Rivera last week at his apartment at 5132 Shrewsbury Green Dr.
When police executed a search warrant at Rivera's apartment, they found a high capacity Glock handgun, ammunition and 36 grams of crack cocaine according to Worcester County Assistant District Attorney Paul Jarvey.
Rivera, 36, was charged with carrying a firearm without a license, trafficking cocaine, possession of a class B substance with intent to distribute and possession of ammunition with a federal ID card.
Rivera was arraigned in Westborough District Court on Wednesday and held on $50,000 cash bail.
The Shrewsbury Police Department is working with the Massachusetts State Police on this on-going investigation.
