Leave Your Leaves at the Curb: Town Announces Yard Waste Pick-Up

The raking has begun. Here's when, and how, you should dispose of your yard waste.

Shrewsbury has announced its fall 2012 leaves, grass and yard waste pick-up program.

The yard-waste will be picked up at the curb during regular rubbish collection days during the following weeks:

Oct. 15-19
Oct. 29 through Nov. 2
Nov. 13 through Nov. 17 (Note, Nov. 12 is a holiday-no pick-up)
Nov. 26-30

The leaves and grass must be in the brown 30-gallon paper bags and lined up at the curb-side by 7 a.m. on pick-up days. Smaller bundled branches will be picked up if they are:
     Cut into 4 foot lengths
No larger than 3 inches in diameter
     Securely tied into bundles
