Many groups marched in the Memorial Day Parade this morning, leaving the Richard D. Carney Municipal Office Building and stopping at the soldier’s statue in front of police station on Maple Avenue, the War Memorial at the town center, and at Mountain View Cemetery.

Participants included, among others, Color Guard from Shrewsbury Police Department, Color Guard from Shrewsbury Fire Department, Central Mass Blue Star Mothers, local officials, active military personnel, the Shrewsbury High School Band, members of veterans organizations, the Shrewsbury Boy Scouts, the Shrewsbury Girl Scouts, and the Oak Middle School 7th & 8th Grade Band.
