Eric Rossini Not Indicted By Grand Jury

The karate instructor was charged with indecency-fondling in May 2012.

Last week a grand jury in Fort Worth Texas decided not to indict Eric Rossini on two counts of sexual indecency from May 2012.

"Both cases were presented to a grand jury, which heard the evidence and the circumstances in this case and, on Jan. 3, 2013, made a decision not to indict, which concludes this matter," Melody McDonald, a public information officer in Tarrant County Texas, said.

Grand jury proceedings are by law kept private, but during the summer Rossini's attorney argued that the the charges were the result of a custody battle gone bad.

Rossini also faced charges in Westborough District Court as a fugitive from justice, but those charges were also dropped.

Rossini, a Grafton resident, owns MassDojo in Shrewsbury.

Glad to see the Patch following up on this story. Too often there's a rush to judgement when there is an accusation and little follow up in the media when there is an exoneration. Well done, Patch.

Justice prevailed we hope. Too bad his good name got rolled around in the mud at the expense of the kid and wife. Hopefully she will get her day sometime soon. She should be held accountable and have to pay all the States of MA and TX court and police costs, if not some time in prison for making false accusations.

Ditto - false accusations are perjury and should be prosecuted.

I hope his ex loses custody of the kids and should pay for legal fees.

Justice did work this time. Too bad this is the action that some women feel they have the right to take. Unfortunately, it becomes the individual's fight to clear his name and some people will never let that happen. I feel bad for Mr. Rossini -unfortunately, this is not the first time I have seen this type of behavior. Another case made it all the way through the trial. It is a living hell that I hope Mr. Rossini can get past. Is there no repercussion to the ex-wife for putting him through this? These nasty *(#_!es should have to face the music as well. Good luck Mr. Rossini.

I've only met this man once years ago and when I first read about it, felt in my gut something was wrong. Didn't add up, knowing the disciplines of his work and his ability to teach and help kids and adults, learn respect and self-esteem. I really don't know Eric, but I would LOVE to start learning in his dojo, and he deserves the support of our citizens and neighbors. When injustice impacts any person there should be some ability to make one's income and overall financial impact whole, to say nothing of the personal stress. To me, as usual, the justice system is slow moving and as much as we spend on it, it never gets better. Eric ... I reepct how your handled the situation initially, I suspect most of your friends and dojo staff kept things together, and I wish you all the best for a New Year that turns things around for you and your family. I need to self defence and the disciplines...at 53 years of age, I'll be signing up at your dojo, very soon! I need the support and I would be honored to have you as an instructor and associate! Felt the same way as you and considered joining dojo until someone showed me this story. He has issues with authority and women. <
His previous charges include assault and battery and intimidating a witness in a domestic violence case and illegally taking a cell phone image of a police officer who was giving him a citation.

I know this man personally and there is no way he would commit such an act!

Where are the apologies from the Oxygen and Lifetime channel watchers who posted hateful comments? The same is true for the self-loathing males who posted on the patch. You liberal mobs are alike.

I just can't comprehend why an innocent man or a Court of Competent Jurisdiction would allow a ten year old Probate battle to just close during the pendency of the Texas criminal matter. Probably never know what really happened here. Too bad, so sad. Hope the child gets the help she needs to recover from this ordeal!

Josh K is this man's son. Who has used lots of other fake names on here to try and trash his father's name and business on behalf of his mother. James Rossini has a record himself for violence towards Jessica Lane (the mother). He is also a high school drop out and he is doing this because his mother wanted desperately to leave the state for years to live with her mother in NC. So, she talked poorly about the father to the children at a young age and turned them against their father. Court docs exist for all of this. She is a sick person and now the son is too. Hopefully, one day this child will see what his mother has done to him, but there is likely no help for him. It's too bad, because the father dedicated himself to his children. Jessica Lane works at the Goddard School in Auburn and should not be permitted to be around children. She lives in Millbury, MA. She certainly would not like to see what was said about her in the court documents online nor would the son. But if they keep it up... I'll be sure to go get them and post them on here. - The Truth
