9/11 Candlelight Vigil Scheduled Sunday
A steel piece of the World Trade Center will be unveiled at vigil.
Shrewsbury Fire Chief James Vuona will unveil a steel piece of the World Trade Center at the 9/11 vigil tonight, Sunday.
The candlelight vigil will take place at the town common at 8 p.m.
"The piece of steel will be displayed at the fire station after the vigil," Chief Vuona said. "We've had a wooden case made and we want to honor those who were lost on 9/11."
The chief also said a 9/11 flag will be hung from the fire truck's ladders along with the American flag.
Residents are asked to bring a candle and a donation for the orphans 9/11 fund.
